Code of ethics

As a Foundation working with/for young talents, compass is committed to establishing an ideal environment for young and motivated table tennis players, in collaboration with their parents, coaches and supporters. This environment is designed to facilitate our players’ journey towards top level performance while respecting and adopting compass’s key principles based on:

  • Fairness

  • Respect

  • Responsibility

  • Integrity

  • Diversity

We truly believe that everybody connected to compass (talents, parents, personal coaches and compass team members) shall represent and promote the highest ethical and moral values that are part of the compass’ philosophy, therefore, we have elaborated and implemented the compass Code of Ethics including compass Child Safeguarding Policy, which reflects and defines the core values and principles for behaviour, promotes fairness and fair play while respecting human rights.

One of the most important duties of compass is respecting and protecting human rights, such as:

  • Respect for human dignity

  • Rejection of any kind of discrimination (e.g. race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status)

  • Rejection of all forms of harassment (e.g. physical, professional or sexual, and any physical or mental injuries)

  • Respect of the principle of the universality and political neutrality

  • Respect of the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play

Moreover, compass would like to serve as a role model within the table tennis family and seeks to establish ethical and safeguarding standards in order to properly ensure their effective implementation. Click below to read our Code of Ethics.

Child safeguarding policy

As a Foundation working with/for young kids from young age, their well-being and safety are our first priority. In compass we are continuously working on keeping table tennis a safe and enjoyable sport for our players when participating in any activity related to compass (training camps, tournaments, etc.).

We truly care about the physical and psychological integrity of young players, their protection is one of the most important objectives of compass. We think that with the creation and application of the compass Child Safeguarding Policy we can achieve this goal in the most effective way.
