The first time compass took note of Adela Brhelová was when she defeated Siri Benjegård of Sweden at the 2023 European U13 Championships.

Aged just ten at the time, the talented Czech player managed to defeat one of the favourites for the title in straight games.

Defeated all the top players in Europe

Just a few weeks before her shock victory over Benjegard at the U13 European Championships, Adela secured her first title at the WTT Youth Circuit. She won the U11 category in Havirov, Czech Republic, where she overcame Zsofia Fegyver of Hungary 3:1 in the final.

Adela was also a semi-finalist in the U13 category at the WTT Youth Contender in Szombathely, Hungary, and in 2025 she won the Joola Europe Youth Series competition in Croatia. She beat Fegyver in the U13 finals and Lizett Fazekas, also from Hungary, 12:10 in the decider in the semi-final, as well as Barbora Melisa Guassardo from Slovakia, 3:2 (11:6 in the fifth) in the quarter-finals.

Adela, along with these three girls, forms the top quartet in Europe in the girls U13 category.

'Her game is thoughtful, confident, and fearless.'

Confident, thoughtful – and fast

“It’s great to see a Czech player succeed, even against strong European competition,” says her coach, Michal Kadlcek. He continues to describe the character of his young protégé: “Her game is thoughtful, confident and fearless.”

Adela Brhelova lives in Hodonin in the southeast of the Czech Republic, just on the border with Slovakia. She plays for the SKST Hodonin club. She is right-handed and plays offensively at a high pace.

Welcome!

“Adela belongs to the best talents of her generation,” says Daniel Zwickl, Managing Director of compass. “She has a great potential. She comes from a table tennis family and practices in a professional environment in Hodonin. We are looking forward to supporting her further development.

Welcome to compass, Adela!”
